| (Frequently Asked Questions) | ||
| Q. | Is my data secure? | |
| A. | Yes. MROA server is monitored 24hrs a day against attacks from the Web. | |
| Q. | Does the site use cookies and what are they? | |
| A. | Cookies are used to store information on
your computer so that it can tell websites something about you and your
preferences - unscrupulous websites can sometimes access cookies which
have been used to store your credit card details or other personal information.
The MROA website only uses session cookies which are automatically deleted when you close your web browser. In addition MROA will never put critical information such as your credit card details or your personal details into cookies on your computer. |
|
| Q. | What happens when I try to log in incorrectly? | |
| A. | When you attempt to log in to the
membership area the web server automatically "traps" your IP
number together with other data about your internet connection. If
you attempt to login 3 times unsuccessfully in the same day your IP
account is automatically blocked from accessing the members area for the
rest of the day. Further attempts to log in during the day will
always fail and repeated attempts will result in a log showing your IP
account and internet connection details being sent to MROA
for further action.
This type of system prevents people from trying to guess passwords by randomly entering words. |
|
| Q. | Whenever I try to log in it always says "Account Blocked"? | |
| A. | This means that a user with your IP address (some IP addresses are shared among a number of users) has already unsuccessfully tried to login 3 times that day. If this continues to occur you should report this to MROA. | |
| Q. | What happens when I amend my membership information? | |
| A. | When you amend your membership information the website is automatically updated and a message is forwarded to MROA advising them of the changes. MROA will then verify the changes are okay and make any alterations that may be necessary. | |
